Spurred by the belief that health and sanitation are fundamental components of socio-economic growth, Marcventures Mining and Development Corporation undertakes programs on health promotion, protection, services, and facilities to improve and maintain health and sanitation conditions within and around the company’s areas of operations.

MMDC regularly conducts medical missions and consultations; provides medicines and vitamins primarily to infants, children, pregnant women and elders; and maintains a quick response team that includes para-medic personnel to attend to the health needs of people in calamity-stricken areas.

The construction of a barangay health center in one of the host communities immensely contributed to the reduction of infant mortality rate as mothers can now avail themselves of pre-natal check-up and vaccination. MMDC also provides subsidy for the honorarium of additional health workers, as well as machines and equipment for the health facility.
